Christine Leonardi-Kramer’ masterpiece, “My Recital Day,” was featured in the April 27th issue of The New York Times Book Review (NYTBR) Magazine of 2025.
The New York Times Book Review (NYTBR), a weekly paper magazine supplement to the Sunday edition of The New York Times (an American daily newspaper with a global audience estimated at 6 million paid digital subscribers in 2020), reviews current fiction and non-fiction books. It is among the most renowned and important book reviews in the industry.
This charming children’s book was commended by Jonah Meyer of the US Review of Books, stating that “With attractive, full-bleed illustrations of eye-catching color and movement on each and every page, her book delivers joy as it delights the senses. The enthusiasm and love for dance, which the young protagonist in these pages exudes, is contagious from the very start. Children might easily identify with the bit of nervous energy—the butterflies in the stomach—which the young dancer experiences moments before her big show, yet, as is pointed out in the story, there really is nothing at all to be afraid of.”
